Make your own pumpkin pie spice with this simple recipe! It’s perfect for all of those fall inspired recipes!
Since I use pumpkin pie spice in all sorts of recipes (especially this time of year, it’s everywhere!) and I refer to it constantly here on the blog, I thought it was about time I share my pumpkin pie spice recipe.
If there’s a way for me to do something on my own or a way for me to make it myself, I’m doing it; you know this. My spice blends are no different. I know you can just go to the store and buy pumpkin pie spice, but why would you, if you could just make your own? And besides, if you’re anything like me, you have all these spices in your cupboard anyway! When you mix them up yourself, you can alter the amounts of each spice if you want to (let’s say you prefer one over another, for example).
This is the recipe I always use for my pumpkin pie spice; it’s become a staple in my pantry. I add it to oatmeal, and waffles, and cookies, all sorts of things. It’s just a great blend to have on-hand for when you want to taste a little fall! …and yes, we do use this all year long! I’ve been known to whip up pumpkin French toast in June!
