We Should All Go To Bed At 8pm

I’ve made a revolutionary discovery. It’s called going to bed at 8pm. Yes, you read that right. Eight. PM. And let me tell you, it’s a game changer.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. “I’m an adult. I can’t possibly go to bed that early.” Trust me, I was skeptical too. But after just one night of getting a full 8 hours of sleep, I’m convinced that this is the secret to a happy and productive life.

Going to bed at 8pm means I get a full eight hours of sleep (even when I get up at 4am). And let me tell you, there’s nothing more luxurious than waking up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. It’s like I’m living in a whole new world where anything is possible (or at least, that’s what I tell myself every morning).

Now, let’s talk about productivity. We all know that a good night’s sleep is essential for being productive during the day. But if you stay up late trying to squeeze in some extra work or Netflix binging, you wake up groggy and unproductive the next day, cursing yourself for not going to bed earlier. Am I right?

With an 8pm bedtime, you have no choice but to prioritize your sleep. You’ll wake up feeling refreshed and energized, ready to tackle the day ahead. Plus, you’ll have a few extra hours in the morning to get things done before the rest of the world wakes up (or maybe even several hours, haha).

Some may argue that going to bed at 8pm is boring or that it’s not compatible with a social life. But let’s reframe that. Who says you can’t have a social life during the day? That’s pretty much what I do. Meet up with friends for lunch or plan a weekend brunch instead of staying out late at night. Plus, being well-rested can actually make you more fun to be around, as you’ll be less irritable and more energized.

And speaking of going out, let’s talk about alcohol (eek). We all know that drinking can interfere with our sleep, but it’s so tempting to have “just one more” when we’re out with friends. But with an 8pm bedtime, you’ll be safely tucked away in bed before happy hour even starts. No more hangovers, no more regrets. #ifyouneedmeillbeinbed

But the best part about going to bed at 8pm? You get to feel like a kid again. Remember when your parents used to make you go to bed early and you’d protest, “But I’m not even tired!” Well, now you can be that smug adult who actually gets enough sleep. Plus, you’ll have an excuse to wear pajamas all evening (or from 3:00 pm on like I do, haha).

So, if you’re not already convinced that going to bed at 8pm is the ultimate life hack, I don’t know what to tell you. Just know that I’ll be over here living my best life, wrapped up in my cozy blankets and pajamas. See you in the morning, my friend.
