Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is the best recipe for traditional bakery style chocolate chip cookies! They cookies are soft and chewy with crispy edges!

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1-1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup+ chocolate chips, semi-sweet
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth.
Add egg and vanilla extract and stir.
Stir in baking soda and sea salt.
Slowly add flour, half at a time mixing until fully incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Using a 1.5 TBS cookie scoop, scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, rotating halfway through.
Allow cookies to sit on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Store in an airtight container for up to one week or freeze.
*The recipe calls for a minimum of 1/2 cup chocolate chips, feel free to add up to 1 cup of any chip variety. **Cookie dough may also be frozen. Thaw completely and bring to room temperature prior to baking.
