Why I Get Up Before The Sun

I know what you’re thinking – getting up before the sun (especially getting up in the 4’s) sounds like a form of self-punishment. But hear me out – there’s actually some method to my madness.

First of all, there’s something magical about those early morning hours. The world is quiet and still, and it feels like I have the whole day ahead of me. Plus, there’s nothing quite like watching the sun rise – it’s like a daily reminder that every day is a new beginning, full of endless possibilities.

Let’s not forget the practical benefits of waking up early, either. For one thing, I actually have time to do things before the day officially begins. You know, like start the laundry, exercise, meditate, or even just sit in the peace and quiet and enjoy a leisurely cup (or several cups) of coffee.

Oh! And what about the productivity factor? When I get up early and start my day off on the right foot, I feel like I can tackle anything. I’m more focused, more motivated, and more productive overall. Plus, there’s something satisfying about checking things off your to-do list before most people have even gotten out of bed.

Of course, there are some downsides to waking up early. Like, you know, being tired, by noon. And sometimes it’s tempting to just hit snooze and stay in bed a few extra minutes, or 30. But ultimately, I’ve found that the benefits of getting up early far outweigh the drawbacks. And honestly, I don’t mind crawling into bed early every night; because as they say, the early bird gets the worm.

So there you have it – the reasons why I willingly subject myself to daily pre-dawn wake-up calls. Maybe I’m crazy, or maybe I’m onto something. Either way, I’ll be up before the sun tomorrow – care to join me? LFG
