Lemon Water

Refreshing and healthy lemon water has all kinds of health benefits! You should drink this daily.Today, I want to talk about lemons, both literally and metaphorically. And boy let me tell you, over the past couple of days, we’ve seen enough metaphorical lemons to last a lifetime. Seriously, I’m completely over lemons!

I’ll spare you the details, but what it boils down to is this, we sold our house and had no where to go! It feels a little like being homeless… Stress out much?

But, being the eternal optimist that I am, I decided to put those lemons to good use. Did I make lemonade you ask? Nope, too much sugar. Instead I made lemon detox water! A fresh and simple way to stay hydrated (warm or cold) and receive some pretty fantastic health benefits too!

Refreshing and healthy lemon water has all kinds of health benefits! You should drink this daily.Turns out lemon water is pretty amazing stuff. Did you know that it can help boost your immune system (which is so great this time of year)? It can also help you lose weight by curbing hunger cravings, clear your skin, help with digestion, relieve respiratory problems, and my personal favorite right now, help keep you zen (I’ll try anything to relieve some mind and body stress – moving is so awful)!

Refreshing and healthy lemon water has all kinds of health benefits! You should drink this daily. The ‘recipe’ for this wonder drink is pretty simple, 8 ounces of water and 1/2-1 lemon (depending on the size of the lemon and your preference), washed and sliced. In the past, I’ve also added some sliced cucumber and mint leaves to the mix, but the plain old lemon water is still my favorite! I read that you should have at least one glass of lemon water per day too, so grab life by the lemons and drink up!

*Update* We found (and moved into) a house for the next 4 months while construction is completed on our new house! Crisis averted! Whew!
