Day 1 {Whole30}

Filed Under: Health & Fitness | Updated: June 22, 2017 | Leave a Comment

Day 1!  I woke up feeling ready to do this, excited even!

I had no trouble getting up at my normal time (4:45 a.m.); made the coffee and then I remembered – no dairy. crap. Black coffee it is. and, it was gross, but I powered it down anyway because I can do this!

…I really miss creamer.

I felt pretty good all morning, but by afternoon I was super tired and just wanted a nap, and by dinnertime I was downright hungry.  I would have given my firstborn kid (sorry mad) for a piece of toast with peanut butter, three raviolis, or a bite of a cookie. But I resisted. I ate a sweet potato with my chicken and veggies for dinner and then I felt better (and had some energy). I had some cantaloupe for ‘dessert’ and I use the term dessert loosely, but it did the trick.

I drank tons of water today.

The thing I found most shocking about today is how badly I felt, and that I’m only detoxing from food. It’s hard to believe, really.

I’m happy to report that everyone who came in contact with me today is still alive. It was touch-and-go for a while…haha.

On to tomorrow…
