Well, it’s 3:07 a.m. and I’m up having coffee (and watching a recorded holiday movie on the Hallmark channel from Christmas in July – woohoo!).
Why am I up you ask? Well I’m still adjusted to Cancun time and my normal wakeup hour happens to be 3:00 a.m. in Phoenix! Holy moly.
Despite the fact that it’s still completely dark outside and I really wish I was still snuggled in my bed sleeping, I’m enjoying these few minutes of quiet time.
We had a blast in Cancun – spent lots of time in the pool and ocean soaking up the sun, ate tons of fresh seafood, explored the Isla Mujeres via golf cart, saw sea turtles nest and lay eggs, went parasailing, and even did a little shopping. The beach was gorgeous and the weather was warm, but super humid. Despite that, it was an all-around perfect week full of great memories we will never forget!
I am; however, very glad to be home.
Laundry, and lots of it! Pick Hannah up on Tuesday(I can’t wait to see her, 2 weeks is such a long time). Nutrition(I went on vacation overload – time to reel it back in, way in). Get back to the gym.

This week I’m feeling grateful; grateful for our country, our home and family, and the life we’ve built. Experiencing the culture in Mexico was both fascinating and humbling and I’m grateful for that experience, but I am most grateful to be home sweet home!
Oh Monday, let’s do this! Read all of the coffee break posts here!
